Safety & Compliance — Our Certifications and Regulatory Standing

Uncompromising Safety & Full Regulatory Compliance

A Framework of Trust for High-Stakes Travel

For our clientele, safety and legal compliance are not negotiable. They are the absolute, foundational requirements upon which any luxury experience must be built. At Brisbane to Komodo, we have engineered a comprehensive safety and compliance framework that addresses the complex regulatory environments of both Australia and Indonesia. Our approach is proactive, transparent, and managed by a dedicated team of experts, ensuring complete peace of mind from the moment you leave your home in Queensland until your safe return.

Our commitment to safety is the most critical component of our service, and it is validated by our adherence to the highest national and international standards. This is overseen by our dedicated team, including our Head of Safety and Compliance.

Corporate & Legal Standing (Indonesia)

We operate with full legal authority and transparency within the Republic of Indonesia, ensuring our clients are represented by a legitimate and compliant entity.

  • Legal Entity: We operate as a fully registered Indonesian company (Perseroan Terbatas – PT) under the umbrella of our parent, the Juara Holding Group.
  • Tour & Travel Business License (SIUP Pariwisata): We hold a valid Tanda Daftar Usaha Pariwisata (TDUP), the official business registration certificate issued by the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, authorizing us to conduct tour and travel operations.
  • Taxpayer Identification Number (NPWP): Our company is a registered taxpayer in Indonesia, complying with all fiscal regulations and contributing to the national economy.
  • Employee Welfare & Insurance (BPJS): All our Indonesian employees and the crews of our core partner vessels are registered with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, the national social security and employment insurance program, ensuring they have access to healthcare and workplace injury protection.

Aviation Safety & Compliance

Our private jet operations are governed by the strict aviation laws of two nations, and we ensure compliance at every stage.

  • Air Operator Certificate (AOC) Verification: We exclusively partner with charter operators who hold a valid AOC from their respective national authorities—the Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) in Australia and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) in Indonesia.
  • Flight Operations & Airspace Clearance: Every flight plan is meticulously filed and approved by both countries’ air traffic control bodies. For the Indonesian leg, we coordinate directly with AirNav Indonesia to ensure safe and efficient routing into Komodo Airport (LBJ).
  • Comprehensive Insurance: Every aircraft we charter is covered by multi-million dollar, worldwide liability insurance, providing a comprehensive safety net for all passengers.

Maritime Safety & Compliance

The safety of our clients at sea is paramount. Our maritime standards exceed local requirements and align with international best practices.

  • Vessel Seaworthiness & Port Clearance: Before every single departure, our partner phinisis must obtain a Surat Persetujuan Berlayar (SPB), or Port Clearance, from the local Harbour Master (Syahbandar). This document certifies that the vessel is seaworthy, properly crewed, and has met all safety checks for the intended voyage.
  • SOLAS-Standard Equipment: We audit our vessels to ensure they are equipped with safety gear that meets or exceeds Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) conventions. This includes satellite phones (not just GPS), Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRBs), certified life rafts, and extensive medical kits with emergency oxygen.
  • Crew Certification & Training: All captains hold the required Indonesian maritime licenses (e.g., ANT series), and all crew members undergo regular training in first aid, firefighting, and man-overboard procedures.

Emergency Preparedness & Response Protocols

We plan for every contingency to ensure that, in the unlikely event of an emergency, a swift and effective response is guaranteed.

  • 24/7 Operations Support: Our operations team in Indonesia is on standby 24/7 during all client trips, monitoring weather, and serving as a constant point of contact.
  • Medical Evacuation (Medevac) Plan: We have a standing agreement with a leading international medical assistance company. This ensures that in the event of a serious medical emergency, we can activate a rapid medical evacuation from Labuan Bajo to a top-tier international hospital in Bali, Singapore, or Australia.

Our rigorous adherence to these safety and compliance protocols is the cornerstone of the trust our clients place in us for their journey of a lifetime.
